: Eric, sorry to say that if your aux, fan hasn't engaged at the 3/4 mark than it has probably gone out. This is not a major problem just be sure to keep the engine cool. If you sit in traffic and you notice the temp rising then idle the engine at arround 1500 rpm this should keep enough coolant flowing through the cylinder head keep the temp at normal.
My question is simple, I think. At what temp does the cars water gauge need to be at for the electric fan to engage. If I let my car sit running for a long time it might reach the 3/4 mark. The fan has never engaged. Am i just lucky or is there a problem with my electric fan.
