Hi Everyone,

Wondering if people can do a brief acceleration test:

In 3rd gear, start at 3,000 RPM, and measure the time to 7,000 RPM. In my car, it works out to be 50 kph (30 mph for US folks) to about 120 kph. Note the ambient temperature, as this will affect your numbers. Obviously, level road without any wind (or do it in both directions), and alone in the car with a near-full tank of gas. Tell us what modifications your car has (intake plumbing, cam gear, exhaust system, chip, wheel diameter, diff ratio, etc).

I have had to replace the DME computer in my car recently, and have yet to put the Dinan chip in the new unit. I thought this test of acceleration would give real life data on the difference it makes!

Cheers,

///Martin
