: The springs did not seem to lower the car as much as advertised (1.6F 1.5R) and I was wondering how long it takes for them to sag and settle into place? The car seems noticably lower, but not as drastically as I was lead to beleive (internet hearsay).
: The set up is also pretty nice to drive on so far. It doesn't seem any harsher than setups I've driven with regular H&R sport springs (non-M3 cars).
: BTW, this was all install last night after work.
: Anyone have any expectancy or other ideas about the set up? The back is nice but the front doesn't seem that low. Were there components that are stock but should have been left out during the install (front rubber pads on the spring perches etc.)?
Surely you didn't just buy H&R Race springs for the ride height. I have the same setup on my car and it's perfect. I agree that the car would LOOK better if the front were lower but at the same time there should be some wheel-well clearance in front and removing the rubber spring purches are not something I'd do. I'd rather have a decent drop and straight fenders than a slammed drop and dented fenders. Of course you could always cut one of the inactive coils if you can't live with the gap.
