I didn't buy the springs just for their lowering effect which is why I'm not about to cut a set that I had to fork out around $500US to get. Cutting them will also change the spring rate (not the dead coil though, I think).

But the 1.6" drop that they're talking about seems more like 1.6cm. I just think that the car was not lowered evenly which is why I was asking whether the H&R (brand or model) spring sets sag or settle with time.

I just find it odd that the overall lowering was not dramatic as I had expected. Mind you the ride is really good (may be I just come from a background of really harsh cars), and the back is lowered perfectly... now if only the front was 1/2" to 3/4" lower...
