If you're getting smoke from the exhaust weather rings or valves or the head gasket it's bad news. Don't take this wrong but if your prized e30 M3 is so dirty in the engine area that you can't quickly tell what kind of fluid leak you have then you're not maintaining it properly. Good luck with the motor.
Not ot ruffle feathers or anything but my car is cleaner than you might imagine. you can eat out of the engine bay. the fluid is under the car and not noticable unless inspecting the underbody. and i resent hte comment that i do not take car of my car(that is all i am gonna say about that). Now back to the oil or smoking problem, i only have 55k on the car so this is all unexpected. I appreshiate your views, be they negative ones.
i guess when it rains it pours...and to bad i was hoping to run in hte autocross next weekend...
any help is more than enough..thanks..
also if anybody is reading this and suggest a rebuild than give me quote via my email.
that is a possibility. would the trans cause some smoke? it mwould make senve why it happens when i am at hight revs(the trans is woring harder).
