Want to replace the intake gaskets & clean /paint the plenum while it's off... Any tips/tricks/hints to look out for while changing the gaskets? Any other parts I should pick up before everything is apart & started....???

Thanks Guys-

you will also need the 4 o-ring's for between the throttle bodies and the plenum, and i would suggest you get new o-ring's for the injectors. while you have the throttle bodies off i would replace the small 90 deg coolant hose at the front of the # throttle housing (thats if you dont already break it taking it off ,its usually brittle). also the factory manual suggest's changing the hose's to the icv as they can sometime's be brittle and break when removed(i did my intake gaskets at 75k and did not have any problem removing these hoses)so its up to you as to wether to get them before hand just in case.
have fun ,this is actually an fun and easy job on these car's and give's you a chance to see how well designed and easy to service they are.look at the intake ports in the head and see how nicely they are machined, smooth as a babies bottom and straight as an arrow for max flow! also look at the intake valves if there are any deposits you may have an injector problem(leaking),mine were as clean as when new!
