I was wondering if anyone on this forum had replaced their Cat. Mine has recently developed a leak, I think the ceramic has actually started to melt and it has become alot louded recently from under the car in the area under the drivers seat. The ultimate garage sells replacements for $550. which is a good price compaired to factory but I'm looking for the best value possible. There is a website I found that sells "universal" ones that you have to get welded on after the old one is cut off (2 pipes in, 2 pipes out). I have also heard of someone using a Cat from a BMW 750I or something but I don't have the specifics. I've thought about the Euro resonator but my inspection sticker is do, so I doubt it would pass.If anyone has some info. to post on this subject it would be much appreciated. Thanks!!!

i just got an aftermarket cat from maximillian and it was only ~$350
