I jsut got an 89 m3 and it idles at about 600 RPM and is pretty smooth, but when I am at a light or something it will gurgle just a little. You can feel it in the car, but the needle on the tach doesn't move. Just wondering what the car should be idling at, and whether or not my 600 RPM is normal. Thanks

the E30 M3 with a properly working idle control system should maintain a 800 rpm idle no matter what the load (ie A/C on or off)
