On both sides of the radio you will see little doors that swing out. Once you swing these doors out you will see a screw on each side(special tool required to remove the screws). When the screws are loose the radio will slide out. Write down the number on the back of the radio. Call your local BMW dealer and give him the number. He has the means to give you the correct radio code. Don't try to guess the code by pressing the buttons. If you do you will have to have drive around for something like 30 to 45 minutes with the radio in the on position then put in the correct code.


hello folks. i'm the proud new owner of an '89 M3 of which i don't know the radio code. Can it be bypassed or reset? shift knob/kit recommendations are also welcome. thanks,
