I was working on the old beast today with the ignition on and it was in reverse not running and I noticed the back upi lights turn off, thought maybe I burt a fuse but I can't find one anyone have any ideas what to look for? Any help would be great.

Josh:

The backup light switch on the trans is notorious for crapping out. Try removing it and
reinstalling it without the aluminum crush ring.
This *may* help. If that dosen't, replace it with a new one. They aren't expensive, but they *are*
a bear to get to, esp w/o a lift.
