R4S pads are an excellent street / autocross pad. But they won't hold up to serious abuse at the track. I recommend the Hawk Blue pad for the track (at least the front pads). You may be able to get away with R4S's on the rear (I use Hawk Blue's on front and rear). Count on using a separate pad for the track as there aren't any compounds that can stand up to track abuse, that are also suitable for the street. Running Hawk Blues on the street will cause rapid rotor/pad wear and heavy dusting of your car. It doesn't take long at all to switch out pads. If you are a real heavy track user, then also install cooling ducts - they make a big difference.
