I think the G-tech is pretty close to accurate. I've used my G-Tech in other cars and the times seem to be very good. I'm pretty sure my car is running in the 6's. I'm going to run it in my friend e36 M3 and see what we get with it. My carhas to be running in the 6's. I'd be really suprised if it wasnt. Using the the old stopwatch and speedometer when it was stock i got high sixes. I know thats not that accurate, but its reference for the G-Tech.
Are you going to refinish the rims. I know that the one bad one could use being resprayed.

Hi Greg,
Was owndering if you got the rims yet? This is Adam G. Also my car runs solid low to mid 6's zero to sixty. Stock my car ran 6.9-7.0. I have an 88 M3. I never thought it was running great, but i think your cars should be running in the 6's easy. I put in a Jim C chip, K&N filter. I ran 6.4 a month ago using a G-Tech Pro. I could've done better than that. You shouldn't be much slower than your old type r. Well the bigger rims on my car and the Jim C ship have enabled my to reach 60 in 2nd gear, but I think you should be able to break into the 6's easily.
Thanks

let me know if the rims got there

They're going on the car today. Thanks for sending them over. I'll send you an email about it this evening.

I read that you got the A520s... let me know how you find them. I was running them on an Impreza RS before (165hp AWD).

RE: the Gtech runs. I've *heard* that it's best used to calculate relative changes in performance. What I mean is that the actual 0-60 timing may not be 100% accurate, although the Gtech should be accurate to itself in order to figure out performance changes after modifications. I'll have to get a good seat of the pants feel for it once the M is finally set up (this evening).

I know a guy who was getting sub 5 second 0-60 times (like 4.3 or so) from his Gtech in a turbocharged Impreza (he had maybe 260hp from it at the time). It sounded a little quick compared to other's with the same setup (maybe 4.9 seconds at best), so that was one time where what I was told about the Gtech might've been correct.

Greg.
