I need a new windshield since the heat in fresno has made the crack I got a couple of days ago much worse.

are the M3 windshields the same as other E30's?

how much are they?

I've heard that the are sealed differently, is this correct, tell me what is different.

the windshield and rear window on the E30M3 is glued in to add structural stiffness to the chassis.these windows are M3 items only and are therefore three times the price and it takes special tools to remove these pieces properly and then reinstall my advice would be to get a recomendation from the local dealership as to who they use to do glass work and then call that glass shop and ask if they have done an E30M3 windshield replacement before if not dont even think about trying them to do it on your car! you might also try the local club for recomendations. who ever you get to do it make absolutely sure that Any and All paint scratches/dings made while removing the windscreen are fixed properly(zinc primer and enamel paint) or you will regret it down the road(ie: rust and wet floor mats).Good Luck
