Where does the drains of the roof route the water? does it go to the tail light or the engine firewall. Plan to clean it this weekend as its beginning to pour where I am located. Would not want a repeat of the soggy carpet episode....

The sun roof drain is located on the right and left rear quater panel, I believe there is one next to the battery compartment the other one is where the car jack is located. You will have to access it by first removing, the rear left and right trim panel. There will be two 3/4 of an inch
tube that go straight to an air vent. you will never miss this as this is the only tube that you will see there. as far as the fire wall drain this is located just behind the the engine. Just above the ground strap, connected to the front
battery tray. this is the drain for the water that comes in above the fresh air intake.
good luck on your serch.

There are also sunroof drains in the front. They are forward or right in line with the front edge of the doors (I forget exactly where). Sometimes these get shut by damage underneath the car from incorrectly jacking the car up. Run some water into the forward part of the sunroof (you'll see the drains) and look underneath the car to see if the water is coming out.
