Hiya Stevie, still got the Evo II??? 8-)
Yep, it was the BMW M Power Club of Great Britain I believe. I`ve managed to get hold of someone at the circuit so hopefully they`ll get back to me in the next day or two - if not I`ll phone again.
I`ve just realised that the 6th is actually a Wednesday - that does seem an odd day to hold the event. Hmmmmmmm, I definately remember it was the 6th though and wrote it down a while ago.
I really would love to take to the track in mine, even if its just for 3 laps - just to get the feel of it.
Hope all is well,
I read a while back that they had a track day planned for 6th September at Castle Coombe. The Castle Coombe website only shows weekend events and I am wondering if anyone knows of this event. I basically want to know if this event is still on and if non-member can go along too.
Hi there Darren,
I think you will probably find that BMW car club or some kind of BMW club has arranged the event as a private meeting but if you phone Castle Coombe circuit I'm sure they will let you know how has organized it. When you know, phone relevant people and ask if you can come along to spectate. I did this when BMW CC had a meeting at Croft circuit in July. I just phoned them and asked if I could come along and they said "no problem" I even got a ride in a couple of M3's e36 and e30's !!!!!. Good luck.
I don't think the M power club has a track day there on the 6th, but the M power section of the BMW car club has one there on the 9th, so you could check with them to see if you can take your car along.
Follow the link below, according to the events calendar they are having there m power track day at the same time, but I just looked at the castle combe web site and going by what it says on there I doesn't seem right because why would they have their track day on a day when anyone can take their car on the track, I don't know but if you find out anything let me know because I might come.
