hi i encounter a problem in my engine.
i am leaking oil out of the oil filter housing if you come across this problem please e mail me thanks
p/s not were the filter screws in but on the side it's not crack, maybe a seal?

Raul,
You are right there has been a campain recall on this on all E-30 3eries. BMW sells a repair kit for about $5.00 it comes with a new plug a new O-ring and a wire retainer you will need a gasket
for the oil filter housing as you would have to remove the whole assy. it will be very dificult or nearly impossible to work on it if you do not remove the filter housing.
Good luck
ROGER J. 89M
