The 2.5L conversions done by Korman and other good BMW tuner shops (which include valve work, porting the head, etc.) generally result in something around 240hp. Thus, you can expect to beat the E36 M3s on the track due to the weight advantage. As noted, raw 'acceleration' numbers depend on a variety of things like tranny and (esp.) rear-end changes.
