yes, it's true that SOME hondas haul ass, my boss has a prelude and that thing smokes most cars. the point is that only a handfull of hondas haul ass while most (90%) are just tin can coaster cars, even the crapy bimmers (318i) is an extreemly competent car and fairly bloody fast, if you want to compare your Prelude to a bimmer park next to a 1999 328 or Z3 and get yourself a thourough ass woupin and if you want to race make sure your competition has the same mods you have. One more thing with that Prelude, isn't it expensive to get the right set of wheels to propell the car? Last I checked they wer FWD, Fucked Wheel Drive...

I have noticed a lot of Honda bashing on this board here. I must admit that I am not a BMW owner, and in fact I drive a Honda Prelude. But a coworker of mine posts here and drives an E30 M3. A very nice one at that.

I am saddened by all the Honda bashing. I know there are idiots who drive them. Probably because of the easy availability, there are a lot of 18 year old snot nosed kids who slap on an intake and exhaust and suddenly they want to race the world.

But there are some of us who are mature, professionals, who drive Hondas and have chosen to "enhance" the performance by adding quality modifications to improve performance, like suspension, springs, sway bars, etc.

some Hondas, with the addition of forced induction can be quite fast indeed. And lets not forget the S2000 and the NSX. So please don't bash us Honda owners too much. Some deserve it, but I like to think that those like me do not. I live my car, I like BMWs, I like all cool cars.

I still think, however, that my Prelude (non stock) will outrun my buddy's M3. Only time will tell when we finally line up and go at it....

I bet him a beer, or dinner, or lunch. You name it Kevin369. I will gladly cough up if I lose and do so with a smile. I just honestly want to see how my car stands up to a "race car" like the M3.

I conclude all my posts, to avoid flames, by saying, I like M3s and don't think my car is better. I think they are just cool in different ways. :)

Just wondering if any of you are acquianted with any rice-boys. There is a guy that live next door to me, nice guy, owns a Civic hatchback, slightly riced. He was looking under the hood of my M3 and commented, "Man, that's a big engine." But he then proceeded to tell me I should remove the airbox and put in a "hi-flow" system. I guess they're used to small, peaky HP engines that need all the help they can get.

My brother was reading a "Sport Compact Car" magazine. He said that all these new ricers still compare their performance to the original M3!! 12 years old, and they still use it as their benchmark.
