I`ve heard of people running 245`s at the front fine, but I think if you do still want to run them on the front the best thing is to put camber plates on to add a bit more negative camber.

I bought my '89 M3 used with some ugly no-name 16' 5-spoke wheels and BFGoodrich 245/45/RZ16 tires. I love the width (9.65") of the tires, but the problem is that the front wheels are so wide that the fender lip has bent slightly from tire contact at it's apex on both sides. I'm thinking of buying a set of 17x8 BBS RX with 235/40/ZR17 Bridgestone Potenza RE730s (@9.25" width). Anyone else have experience with 235 mm width tires on the E30 M3? Should I play it safe with 215 mm (8.46")?
