The orginal point was to bash the stereotypical snot-nosed high-school kid you see with the 8" exhaust pipe blaring from a tin-can sounding engine, cut springs with 1" of suspension travel left, and either steel wheels 'cause he's too poor after sinking $2000 into the stupid non-functional wing and ugly front air-dam, or 18"x6" Niche triple-chrome-flaking wheels with 205/30/18 Crappo tires. It just so happens that most of these fools do it to Hondas. But there are plenty of VWs, Toyotas, Hyundais (hard to believe), Saturns (even harder to believe), Neons, and you-name-it "Sport" compact cars.
And now for my second point: Start off with a better car!!! Yes, you may be able to beat my stock M3 in a drag race with your Prelude and $4000 in mods, but my M3 smoke your "sportscar" at a real race track. Engine mods are fine, but the reason BMWs are better is because they have been track tested for chassis, suspension, steering, braking, and all-around balance. From the lowly 318i to the 850CSi and all models in between, each one has spent hundreds of developmental hours at the track.
So, to re-cap: Original point was that "riceboys are impressed with M3s." Not "Hondas suck and everyone should own an M3." Rice boys are people, not Hondas.
