Well, it's day four and the saga continues. I went down to look at the car at the autobody shop and noticed the front bumper was out of alignment. The ICBC estimator calls me and informs me that he too noticed the bumper was out. He said that the black plastic skid plate under the bumper was crushed and that the "ears" holding the bumper cover was pulled out of their slots. The estimator believes this was not caused by the accident, but rather from the tow company (probably from taking the car off of the flat deck). To make a long story short I have to make another insurance claim for this!! Funny enough the estimator was very friendly and helpful. In fact, he realized I was an E30 M3 "nut" and asked me some questions regarding the cars value. He was working on another case involving a 1991 M3 which he feels would be written off and wanted my advice regarding pricing. All I said to him was these cars are RARE and to give as much as he could to the owner because it will be almost impossible to find a good one for sale in Canada. By the way, after having spoken to the autobody shop, it appears that I will not be getting my car back for at least 3-4 weeks at the earliest! Sure, the PT cuiser that I am renting is an eye turner, but it's just a dressed up Neon and drives like one too!! I will keep you all apprised as to the status of my car. I am boring anyone with these posts please let me know and I will stop.
