..compared to the EVO box. Maybe as high as 5-6 HP. I came up with my own cold air setup and heat shielding. If you just stick a filter on the vane box you'll suck hot air which hurts performance. I tested it using a Vericom and a Road Dyno. I think that for this sort of part they are very helpful because you measure output with the actual car moving through the air at speed. In my case i found the ITG foam filter to be more effective than the K&N and that the exact positioning is critical. Move the filter two inches and lose 2 HP.
