Yeah, my car does burn a little oil, not too much though, after having the engine just rebuilt and having about 127K on it. I always am really careful about the warmup process of my car also. I don't let it cruise down hills, I shift it into neutral and I never go over 4K until the oil temp is around 130-140F, just about fully warmed up. I can't keep the engine under 2.5K though. That's about impossible if you're going to go up some hills, even with a cam sproket. I also tend to drive pretty slowly, compared to everyone else on this board it seems, I don't usually hit redline on the street.
