Does anyone know how to shut off the break lining light withought going to the dealer? Help.

The brake lining light is "ON" because you need new brake pads.

If you pads have been replaced, lift the car up and spray some brake cleaner spray on the pads.

In the past my car had a flickering brake light on in spite of the fact the pads and sensor had been changed. My guess is that the brake pad dust was causing the light to come on.

If you pads have not been replaced, you need to change the pads and sensor.
