Ok, I did the following mods on my M3 and it looks and sounds great:

1- replace factory door tweeters with 1" vifa (using same grills just make the hole bigger)

2- replace kick panel speakers with vifa speakers and crossover modules (using same size speakers and original grills)

3- replace rear deck speakers & tweeters with vifa drivers, crossovers and 1" silk tweeters mounted on original square bracket and grills.

4- I got a custom made plate to mount an Alpine ERA-320 DSP unit on the depresion right below the ac unit (the change or sun glass holder)so it looks like part of the interior and its got a smoke see thru cover!

5- mounted the amplifiers, crossover and DSP unit on a board and the board got mounted on the truck on the back of the rear seat, I also got a dual 10" sub cabinet in the trunk. BUT now I planning to do the sub intall I found on the following address wich mounts on the spare wheel depresion.

6- I use an Alpine head units and an Alipne 12 Cd changer mounted inside the trunk next to the speakers.

So what I acomplished is a loud, clear and very defined sound system that looks original from the outside.

If you have any questions let me know...
