When I first got the thing, I asked my mechanic about how to take care of it. He told me that a lot of the cars can start acting up because the owners won't let the engines rev; he said a lot of motors come in with the head all clogged-up from running 1500-2500 rpm all the time.

He told me it's a race motor and that as long as it's warmed up and has lubrication, everything would be fine. Rev it up and it'll be happy. In my case, the advice paid off. The car always ran strong, with excellent fuel economy with no mechanical failures, just a weak tensioner.
