I partially agree with you. The one drawback of Solo II is that you do end up standing around alot just to get a few quick runs in. However, for the cost ($15-$25), the level of competition, and the comradary with other car enthusiasts, I dont think you can beat it. I've got a grin on my face after every event. I hardly think its boring. My heart still goes a mile a minute after each run in my R. This is my first year though, so who knows, I may get tired of it eventually.

I like track events too, but try to do only a few of those a year. Lets face it, they cost more, beat up the car ALOT more, and are quite a bit more dangerous than autocrossing.
