Thanks for the part numbers. I called the dealer and they were able to order them for me, at a slightly higher price than you got them for. But, the bigger problem is that, according to the parts guy, when he ran the numbers in the computer, they show as being incompatible with my '88 M3. I don't want to get stuck with useless parts if this is true. What do you think? Is there a mistake in the BMW parts computer?

Here's the parts numbers for the Euro covers and straps:

51 11 1 961 927 Left cover Dealer List: $24.00
51 11 1 961 928 Right cover Dealer List: $24.00
51 11 1 940 365 Retaining strap List: .77
51 71 1 910 956 Retaining clip List: 1.50
