was the whole wall cut out, or was it just the three pannels that were cut out. It is my belief that if these 3 pannels are removed but the two pillars are not, it won't make that much of a difference.

Well, the last owner had huge speakers installed in the wall and so there's 2 12 inch holes in it. It looks like it was cut with welding equipment. The wall is still there, just 2 huge holes in it. It's only about a 1mm thick, I wouldn't think it'd effect it that much. But do think it does make a difference.
