Is there really a noticeable difference with the JC chip vice Dinan or Autoauthority? What makes the JC chip so popular? Who's the best source to buy it from?

And I agree with Al below. There is a noticeable difference between the JC chip and the Dinan chip, yes I have both.

The best places to get it from are Turner Motorsports and Eurosport in Utah (from Josh).

The reason there is a board in place is because people have been copying Jim's chips and selling them illegally (Mesa Performance) did it at some point. The board somehow prevents copying. They still owe me money from a Conforti chip I bought from them that turned out to be counterfeit (for an E36 M3).
