insp2 at BMW SEATTLE will cost you about 700-800 dollars and does not include replacing the cap in rotor which is about $350.00 . you can find a cap and rotor through Turner for alot less. Depending where you are located I would be careful who you have do the work, it takes a special tool to remove the shims when adjusting the valves and you need the to have access to the proper size shims to swap out with the old shims. Some shops may say they can do the work, then after they start the job they found it is not as easy as they thought it would be. We see the above senario at work all the time with the older M car's and v-12 powered car's. I would take the car to dealer or a BMW specialty shop only. Just my opinion. Good luck. Troy
