...and I still have to do the engine at some point. That one's gonna hurt. But I hear ya, it's a VERY expensive difference between 'everything's working fine' and a perfect performing M3 that you can drive hard every day with no problems and no worries about anything breaking.

Except for the engine, mine's almost there.

Well, I'm in the process of having a Dinan Stage 3 suspension installed, along with swaybar reinforcements, and a UUC short shifter. Turns out I'll also be replacing the engine/transmission mounts and the ICV. Perhaps a couple other minor fixes (took the car in with a small list of annoyances).

We're talking about a bill that has now moved itself well upwards of my original $3K self-imposed ceiling.

These cars are expensive. Not sure how much longer I can afford this. At least it'll be "perfect" at the end of the week. I've spend close to $7K US getting this thing into the kind of condition I wanted. Even though it was great when I got it, it seems that the difference between "great" and "perfect" is a lot of time and money.

What kind of crazy bills have you guys had? This one comes as a real shocker to me. I'm almost regretting getting rid of my Type-R; at least I had a warranty there and ten years less of wear and tear items to eventually replace.

Greg.
