I was cruising down 101 around 85 mph and the car started bogging down, sputtering like it wasn't receiving fuel. Is there a fuel pressure regulator that might be causing this (and, if any of you are curious, there was plenty of gas in my tank... ;) Any other suggestions?

Thx in advance - JT

I also had the same thing happen to me. The vcar was under warranty at the time and BMW replaced everything that everyone in their post replaced. Nothing worked, so I drove the car into the lake(just kidding). It turned out to be the TEMPERATURE SENSOR! When a temp sensor in an E30 goes bad, the car will idle and run at low speeds, when initially cold, but since it never warms up, it sputters, blows out black smoke, and when you accelerate, it feels as if it isn't taking in any fuel. Check out you temp sensor before you start throwing useless parts into you car. It took BMW 6 weeks to figure this one out and actually, they didn't. One of my friends had the same thing happen to him and told me about the fix, which I related to BMW.
