Hey,

I just got an original BMW stereo from an '88 M3 and I want to install it in my 2002 but I got it without amplifier and with a BMW 6 cd changer but from a different car. There are 4 cables which I don't know what are they for: one red (LAC) and one brown (DAC) with a black connector and one white (DIM) and one yellow (BATT) with a white connector. Are they for amp and/or illumination? which is which? can I use another amp with this stereo and how do I install it?

Also, the CD changer has a 13 pin round port, same as at the back of the stereo, and I have the cable from the cd changer that's been cutted off from the other end, anyone knows how the connection is made from one end to the other? I tried pin-to-pin without any results, only blowing the stereo fuse. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
