I really don't know too much about importing a car, other than the US specs are more strict. A while back there was a thread on some bmw email group (don't remember if it was M3 SIG or uucdigest) about importing cars from Germany or other places, for some reason I bookmarked a site that someone suggested. http://users.erols.com/philca/bmw/import.html
