The throttle keep getting stuck. Sometimes idle can be as normal as 800 rpm, sometimes around 1500rpm, sometimes 2000 rpm or higher.

I know that the problem comes from the throttle housing letting too much air in.. the question is where to adjust?

Although I am no expert, I would check for a vaccum leak first before messing around with the air box. You will need specialized equipment to check your adjustments. Potable tachnometer, don't fool yourself thinking you can use the one on the car because it will not give you an accurate reading in a slow manner to make your adjustments. The older Bosch air boxes, were easier to adjust because you could use a long hex/allen wrench. The newer ones require a special service tool. I have heard that the M3 is prone to having the intake manifold gaskets good bad too, so check for a vaccum leak first before assuming it is the air box. You might have a faulty idle speed sensor, bad auxlillary air valve, or a bad thermotine sensor.

Check the simple stuff first, then go on to the other systems on the ignition/air/fuel system on the car.

Good luck.
