It's been done successfully for a couple of years. I heard of one in L.A. area- friend of an e30 fiend friend type thing. Guy said it's scary fast. Definitely want to look into some serious braking mods. Fat brembos available for 17 in. wheel set up might be good. Fatter tires as well, I would imagine. Might be able to put you in touch if you want.
