I doubt it would be the same as comparing an e30 to a e36 m3. Its well known that newer cars get heavier and I`m sure the boxster S is heavier than a mid-nineties 911. Maybe its lighter than the newer 911`s, however it is a soft top the boxster has so that will add to weight.
I have no idea how a Boxster compares to our E30 M3`s. I personally would prefer a 911 (an older one though).

Anyone compared the E30 M3 vs. the Boxter S for handling? From what I read, the Boxter S relates to the 911 similarly to the way the E30 M3 relates to E36 M3: less power, but more direct handling, more agile, etc.
