Anyway, you may want to have the clutch and flywheel checked. This requires about 5 hours labor to R/R the transmission and clutch, but a good mechanic can do it in less than 4h. Have him replace the clutch release bearing, release arm, and pivot point while in there. These parts are cheap, and it would suck to have to pay for another 4h labor later on. Then check the front crank hub to make sure it is still torqued properly. Also check the harmonic balancer for cracks or damage.
What were the engine mounts replaced with? Anything other than the OEM M3 mounts will add a lot of vibration at idle and higher RPMs.
Good luck

Thanks for the help, I now have another even more major problem, my F..... engine. I think it's a big or small end. here's the 'crack'
On idle no4 cylinder makes a very audible 'clacking sound' makes tappets sound non existent.... remove the spark to the cylinder and the idle is rough (Onlt running on 3) but no more clacking. Lift the revs and it will reduce.
The valve clearances and cams are spot on, I checked them this morning, they were only adjusted 2 weeks ago anyway. So the noise is not the valve train.
The noise sounds toward the top of the cylinder.
I don't think this is actually related to the other problem. I can't beleive how much this car has cost me, 90% of the work has been doen with Munich Legends and I have spent over £3.5k with them alone....... I have only done 2,500 kms in a car that has done 86k kms and it really looks very genuine indeed most people who have seen the car say it looks like it has done less than 85k kms.....
i am now at my whits end, I can't sell it as it now owes me too much money and if I get it repaired how much will it cost and who should I trust, I just don't want to get ripped off.
