I have spent 600 uk pounds in 9 months of ownership 8-). 410 of that was for an inspection II about 2 months ago. I fitted new new rear top mounts and rear brake pads just after buying it -this was picked up on the pre-purchase inspection.

Luckily I have refrained from upgrading. I have been tempted to do a few small things but each time something else pops up I need to spend my money on - something for the home or whatever. I am planning on an Evo lower intake, evo II intake cam(which only takes an hour to fit) and a chip to go with it for spring next year though.

Adrian, get someone to check out that noise first. It might not be terminal.

I think I will need to strip my engine I have a terminal sounding clonk for no4 cylinder.

I was thinking of taking the car to nigel Moseley ?

Adrian

dont think you can go wrong using Nigel at Moseley motorsports, they have one of the best reputations in the UK for these cars. just be prepare to spend the moola ($$$$$$$$)

Shit, I am REALLY skint now, I bought an M3 in October and have now spent well over £4k sorting it out. A lot of the spend was to upgrade but I am truly brassic, is Nigel really expensive ?

I have had uprated shock, springs, roll bars, bushes, braided hoses all round uprated discs all round, new engine, transmission, diff mounts, new wishbones, trailing arm bushes, tyres etc, etc, etc

Jeees I bought the M3 as a cheap fun car !.....
