I'm considering getting Kinesis forged wheels or the BBS LeMans wheels (Which is forged as well)with bridgestone tyres (S02's). I've sent a number of e-mails to Kinesis to find out the weight of an 8x17 K28 wheel, but no response!! I've looked around for Magnesium wheels on the net, but manufacturers don't seem to advertise them. just the normal alloys and forged wheels.

Are the Kineis any good? Never heard of them until recently as I reside in the UK and they are not well known here. Can u suggest alternatives to them?

Thanks for your help.

I have heard good things about Kinesis and would be interested to hear about weights. 28mm offset sounds good, the 7.5x16's are 27 so your rims will sit out but another 5 and in by another 7mm.
Other mag manufacturers are :

Dymag, Oz, Speedline, BBS (Not usually road lageal though). Try talking to Demon Tweeks, they are not the cheapest but will be able to get info on Speedlines 01978 664468.

SO2's are the best road tyre at the moment but if you can live with 6k tyre changes then Dunlop formula R's or AO32R's will take the piss out of them...(Probably a bit harsh, but they will offer a significant wet and dry grip improvement)
