i believe jeffs started life as an e30 m3, the roof removed professionally. What value would you put on a 325is with an 120k mile s14 motor, and a full M3 body kit, and upgraded suspension. It began life as a 325 ic.....its a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT ANIMAL...you can't look at it as an M3 cabrio...from a purists stand point...if you are just looking for a badass convertible, e30 style, sure its great. If you want an e30 M3, you will know deep down that it isn't, trust me, you will.
To answer your question, how much spent in mods is important, were the parts new when put on the car, or 120k. You could be looking at a car that is very difficult to service, depending on your ( or who you know) knowledge level of e30/M3 parts/cars. You can import a true e30 M3 cabrio from europe for between $15-20k, low miles and all. If you are looking to buy, consider importing, if you are selling, trick someone (jk).
