"have you checked the wheel bearings". and this would cause the car to bog under partial throttle how? look at all the symptoms!
the fuel pump idea to me seems a little bit of a reach. in my experiances the fuel pump just goes bad no prior noises. have you checked the wheel bearings. well good luck with it
Awhile back I posted about a weird new noise that I noticed. Thanks to everyone who responded, I think I've figured it out - its got to be the fuel pump. I don't drive the car very often, but today I took it for a spin and when I press the gas about halfway or more to the floor the car started to bog down. I figure it's not getting enough gas, and now that I think about it the fuel pump is in the right rear of the car right? So I'm thinking that may be it. My question now is, does anyone know if there's a way to test the fuel pump? The fuel filter was changed about a month ago, do you think I could have got a really bad tank of gas that's screwing things up, or is the fuel pump probably just on it's last legs? Thanks for any advice you may have. This was my description of the problem a few weeks back...

It's a high-pitched noise that starts between 20-40 MPH, but once it starts it's not speed, gear, or RPM related. It just constantly squeals until I slow down to under 20-40 MPH and then starts up again over 20-40 MPH. It seems to be coming from the passenger side of the car ... in the rear I think. Anyone have any clue what it could be?
