aswell, because the convertible are not just regular e30's with no roof, they have different body,(i believe) since a regular e30 does not have enough stiffness in the side rocker and the front windshield frame, and the front windshield frame is actually strong enough to hold the car up in a roll over,,, so if the yellow one had been a m3 with a chopped top i'd be very scared to even get close to one considering it would be a death trapp if any sort of accident did ocuur...so i think the red car that this fellow is talking about is virtually the same as a real M3 convertable only not real... just my 2 cents

YOU ARE CORRECT A IC BODY IS 100% DIFFERENT IN TERMS OF THE BODY INNER AND BRACING . SIMPLY CUTTING TJE ROOF OFF AN M3 WOULD BE A DEATH TRAP . ALTHOUGH THIS CAR IS NOT A TRUE M3 CABRIO IT IS ABOUT AS CLOSE AS YOU CAN GET WITHOUT IMPORTING ONE AND GOING THRU EPA & DOT B.S . IN TERMS OF MODS AND UPDATES EVERY COMPNENT THAT IS CONSIDERED A WEAR ITEM WAS CHANGED ON THE CAR DURING THE CONVERSION AS WELL AS THE MOTOR , TRANS & REAR END WERE RESEALED THE CAR MAY BE 120 K EITHER WAS BUT OVER 6000. DOLARS WAS SPENT JUST ON SEALS , GASKETS , ROTORS , STRUTS , CLUTCH , CAT AND MUFFLER , ETC , ETC,
THIS IS A CAR THAT MY SHOP IN CONNECTICUT UIS BUILDING FOR ME AND THE CAR IS AT IT'S FINAL ASSEMBLY STAGES AND I WAS JUST TRYING TO GET AN IDEA OF WHAT IT IS WORTH .
