But the later std M3`s did come with the Evo II engine so you could therefore say it is the std engine the Cecotto has. It is not the std < 1989 M3 engine though. The late `89 and all the `90 STD M3 cars had the Evo II engine as std but with a cat.
Please see image below. The Cecotto does have the Evo II engine with a cat. The image is from an article in BMW car magazine some time ago.
According to the ETK parts CD-rom and the Evo 2 and Cecotto brochure (see pictures) I seem to be right in the conclusion that the Cecotto engine is the regular Euro S14 engine with 215 Hp and not an Evo 2 with cat.
