The reason I ask is because the 225/45/16 are more expensive, and there are fewer from which to choose. I also have an 88 M5, and that's the tire size for it, so having two sets that would fit either car would be great. I guess I could do a swap sometime, but it's cold out here. I'm moving to Florida. Screw this cold weather crap!

James, don't skimp on tyres fit the best 225/45's you can. There is only rubber between you and an accident. M3's are meant to be a performance car.....
