What is the best method for POLISHING ALLOY WHEELS (archive)

I have a set of M Contours in the stock silver color, and want to polish them to a high luster. WHat is the best method and what to use to do so. THis is a do-it yourselfer project. Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks, JP///M3.2
