Hi everybody,
Does anyone here knows on what step to go by to correct
error on the carfax report? to give you guy's a run down
of how this question came about. someone posted the carfax website on the board on a related topic. just out of curiosity i decided to run all the vin# registered under my name. I discovered one of my vehicle that I purhased New
back in 1995 had a bad report. It appear that the odometer milage on the vehicle was rolled back ,it shows there was about a 43000 miles descrepancy from the last milage reading
i went back and check all my record i discovered that the
print out on one of my emmision report have a typo.error on
it it shows 56,000 miles instead of 26,000 i hardly ever driven this car in the entire 6 years that i own it as i have other car that i use for daily driver, neither i intend
to sell it in the near future. what do tou guy's think? shall I ignore the report? or correct it? I have all the
records from all my emmesion test that i took for the last
five years to prove the error but it looks like it would be
a husstle to correct this since i did not discover the error
up until now. What implication would this have if I choose
to ignore this? need all you guy's opinion or advice. thanks
