When I had the compression checked on my car, it read 200, 195, 200, 200. I had a reading taken by both the local dealership, and my independent tech (Strictly BMW). Both places stated that this was optimal (200psi).
The artglenn E30 M3 site states 145-155psi.
What's the deal here? Someone said the service manual states 145-155psi as well, but why would most of us get 200psi readings and dealerships that state 200psi as being optimal compression? Seems odd to me, and I'm thinking 200psi is correct, especially considering how my car runs and what it turns on a dyno.
