A professional polishing shop will strip and polish your wheels for around 100 bucks each. I had this done to my factory wheels on my '95 M3. Looks great, not as 'pimp' as chrome. BUT, you have to polish them often as the bare aluminum gets dull. If you live real close to the ocean I'd say don't do it - the salt air will dull the polished finish in about a week. Ask me how I know!. I guess you could get them clear coated, but it always eventually peels...
